Wed, 9/28 is half price purchase day for Art of Sound tickets. Can be purchased on-line via www.artofsoundcc.com or on phone to Arts Council 704-484-2787, or in person at Arts Council. You can purchase tickets for single night’s performances or for whole festival. For Thursday night, which is when Over Mountain Men are playing, this would be $5 for possibility of seeing three performances in Don Gibson Theatre and three at the Arts Center, and benefits Cleveland County Arts Council.Over Mountain Men are scheduled to play October 20 at 8:30 in the Don Gibson Theater in downtown Shelby, NC.
Recently the Avett Brothers covered the David Childers song ” The Prettiest Thing” and we’ve even posted a special acoustic video of David performing the song with Randy Saxon. A couple of weeks ago we posted a video of the Avett Brothers performing “The Prettiest Thing” by David Childers. This week we have the man himself performing the song with the help of Randy Saxon.

It was announced this week that the Overmountain Men will once again team up with co-founder Bob Crawford to play a concert at High Rock Outfitters in Lexington NC from 7pm – 9pm on December 17th. Fans in the area should definitely try to make this gig as Bob only plays occasional gigs with the band due to his commitments to the Avett Brothers.
